Making your own fundraising video is a great way to convey your passion to your potential donors. Here’s how to make your own video from home!
Points To Include In Your Video
- Your Name
- Our name (Operation Broken Silence)
- What you’re fundraising for and why
- Your fundraising goal
- How people can donate
This can be as complicated or as simple as you would like. You can use your phone, computer, or camera to create your video. Once you’ve recorded your video you’ll need to upload it to an online sharing source such as Youtube or Vimeo.
Next, head to your fundraising page and click MANAGE in the top right corner. Now click STORY. Scroll down to the video already provided by us. Underneath the video will be a small gray icon of a film camera that will say “insert video” when you hover over it. Click this icon and a box will appear where you can copy and paste the link for your personal fundraising video. Click insert, and then click SAVE.
All done! You’ve successfully uploaded your video. If you want to return to the video provided by us, simply click “reset story” located underneath the video.
Another great way to use your personal video is to upload it to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Just remember to include a link to your fundraising page as well.
Be creative and have fun making your video, just remember to keep it classy since you're representing us and the movement to empower the people of Sudan. Leave that lovely music you wouldn't want your parents hearing for your own earbuds.
