Good People Good Beer 2018 Results

an incredible evening celebrating and empowering the people of Sudan

Posted by on June 28th, 2018

On June 16, 2018, 266 of our supporters gathered at The Propcellar in Memphis, TN to celebrate and empower the teachers and students at the Endure Primary School in Yida Refugee Camp, South Sudan.

This marked the 6th year for our annual Good People Good Beer Gala, and you showed up looking great in our 1920's Speakeasy theme. Here's what you accomplished in 3 hours:

The Good People

It was a good mix of old and new friends. You mingled, tasted delicious brews, ate, and participated at our Fundraising Stations, all for the students and teachers at the Endure Primary School. Simply put, you brought the magic. You were a part of something bigger than yourself for a few hours.

We also caught your bright faces on camera!

The Good Beer

We served 10 tasting brews that ranged from an Icelandic white ale brewed 60 miles south of the Arctic Circle to a kolsch brewed just south of us in Mississippi. This year's kegs were provided by local favorites Wiseacre and Crosstown, with the food coming from Gray Canary, The Arcade, Blind Bear, and more. We definitely weren't lacking in the drinks and eats department!

And your votes are in! This year's favorite brew was Einstock's Icelandic White Ale, which barely beat out Mighty Mississippi Brewing Co.'s Kinlock Kolsch by a mere two votes.

We Want Your Feedback!

A lot of planning goes into this annual Gala. You can help us make Good People Good Beer 2019 even better by completing a short survey we've setup online just for you. Your feedback, thoughts, and ideas will help our event committee plan next year's gala!
