June 2016 Endure Campaign Update

a brief update on your fundraising progress

Posted by OBS Team on June 14th, 2016

At the beginning of 2015 we launched the Endure Campaign, an online fundraising movement focused on putting teachers from the Nuba Mountains of Sudan back to work in refugee camps. Tens of thousands of children have fled the war and genocide in the Nuba Mountains and are sitting in refugee camps where few educational services exist. The Nuba education crisis is an enormous long-term issue threatening the future of Sudan and it is being largely ignored by the international community.

Building and supporting classrooms, paying teacher salaries, and ensuring that children have access to a free education is one of our organization's top priorities. You've shown your generosity by fundraising and giving to the Endure Campaign for over a year now. Today we're excited to bring you the biggest update yet from the campaign!

Thanks to your hard work, you've raised enough funds to jump-start our education program and lay a foundation for us to support more teachers and classrooms in the years ahead. You can see how your funds were used by clicking and expanding the photos below.
