This evening Indie Memphis announced that our third documentary film Lost Generation of Sudan is an official selection of the 2015 Indie Memphis Film Festival! You can watch the teaser for this special short documentary film above.
Lost Generation of Sudan is a documentary film examining the ongoing war in Sudan through the eyes of an emerging generation of war orphans. Since 2011, war and genocide in Sudan’s Nuba Mountains has forced tens of thousands of children to flee their homes. This film is their story of survival and potential.
This is our organization’s third documentary film and blends together eyewitness accounts, war footage, and expert views concerning the situation in Sudan with regards to a generation that is missing out on an education. This film builds on our media efforts to change the narrative on Sudan and what can be done. Shot over a two-week period in multiple locations across South Sudan, where these children now live in refugee camps, Lost Generation of Sudan is as powerful as it is educational.
