Endure Campaign Update

school supplies and more heading to Nuba students

Posted by OBS Team on May 1st, 2016

Last summer we began collecting school supplies and more here in Memphis, TN as part of the Endure Campaign, our fundraising effort to support thousands of children and war orphans from the Nuba Mountains of Sudan. Thanks to your generosity and large participation from several other churches and groups across the southeastern United States, a shipping container full of school supplies and more is now on its way to South Sudan!

To date, a little over $20,000 that you have raised has been sent to support teachers and classrooms in Yida Refugee Camp, where over 25,000 children alone don't have access to a basic education. Together, they represent over one million wasted hours every single week that should be spent in the classroom. These are the future leaders of Sudan who are at risk of being left behind. But the good news is that you are in a position to help.

So, what's next? We have two great opportunities for you to stay involved:

1. Join The Endure Campaign

Sudan is facing an education catastrophe as schools have been bombed and burnt to the ground by the government of Sudan. That's the bad news. The good news is that you can do something about it. The Endure Campaign is putting Nuba teachers back to work and thousands of children back into the classroom in the refugee camps they currently call home. You can help by starting a fundraising page and raising $250.

If you can't commit to fundraising right now, we encourage you to leave a lasting impact by making a contribution towards our efforts. Your gift will impact the Endure Campaign and these children in the following ways:

Your generosity can have a major impact in the lives of these children. The best part? A few bucks goes a lot further than you think! Whether you give $10 or $100, you can leave a lasting impact on Sudan's next generation of leaders.

You can also make an impact every single month by becoming a recurring donor. Signing up takes less than a minute and comes with some cool perks, including quarterly updates about our work.

2. Get Tickets To Good People | Good Beer 2016
