Thanks For Making 2017 An Amazing Year

and how to be involved in 2018

Posted by Audrey Tetzeli on January 9th, 2018

What a year 2017 was! Thank you so much to the more than 1,000 of you who were involved. Our annual report will be out in early 2018, but here are a few early highlights from the year.

The students and teachers at the primary school we support in Yida Refugee Camp had their best and biggest year yet. Your giving helped Mother of Mercy Hospital, the only remaining hospital in the Nuba Mountains, continue saving lives throughout the year.

You made our final relief mission to Nuba refugees in need happen. And you helped us create our first travelling photography exhibit that introduced over 3,000 people to the crisis in Sudan for the first time.

None of this would have been possible without your fundraising, giving, and advocacy. On behalf of our Sudanese friends, thank you, thank you, thank you!

2018 is going to be a big year for the Sudanese people and our movement. To kick the year off right, we are having our inaugural Renewal drive!

The Renewal is an automatic monthly giving program that directly supports storytelling, education, and medical programs in Sudan. It’s like your monthly subscription to a video, music, or internet cable service, but it empowers the Sudanese people! Over 50 people joined the Renewal last year, and we're looking for another 50 of you to join right now.

1. It’s Affordable. You choose the amount that fits your budget and can know that you’ll make an incredible impact over the course of your membership.

2. It’s Sustainable. Your monthly giving enables us to invest in specific areas of our work while expanding our programs and listening to the Sudanese people about what they need.

3. It’s A Family. Becoming a member of The Renewal allows you to join the most dedicated members of our movement who understand the importance of sustained commitment to the people of Sudan.

4. It Comes With Perks. Every member of The Renewal gets a quarterly update that takes you behind-the-scenes of our work with updates from our programs and receives a Top Supporter pin that only members of The Renewal get! Members that give $25 or more a month also get two free tickets to all of our events.
