Come experience the Yida Photography Exhibit, a powerful traveling media project about the crisis in Sudan. This exhibit will be at the University of Memphis from September 11-15.

The Yida Photography Exhibit examines the crisis in Sudan through the lives of those who have escaped. The 313 breathtaking images featured in this traveling exhibit are part of a collection of 4,535 photos taken in Yida Refugee Camp by Operation Broken Silence’s photographers.

Yida is a story-driven exhibit that immerses attendees into the lives of Sudanese refugees, the genocidal war they fled from, and their uncertain future. This exhibit has relevant, current affairs insights that can apply to multiple academic studies including international studies, political science, journalism, art, photography, and nonprofit management.
