Our advocacy campaigns are designed to join your voice to hundreds of others in Tennessee for peace and justice in Sudan. We have seen some remarkable results over the past two years because of you, but we still have a long way to go. Our campaigns aim to improve U.S. foreign policy, strengthen international institutions that prevent genocide, and raise general awareness in the public sphere.
Ask Senator Corker To Support S.1158
The Elie Wiesel Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Act (S.1158) recently introduced in the Senate will authorize the structures, funding, and training necessary to ensure that U.S. efforts to prevent mass atrocity crimes are more successful. Our Tennessee activists have a very special role to play in ensuring this bill moves forwards. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) currently chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. His support of this bill in moving it through committee is critical to making sure it becomes law.
