Eden's Run 5K: Virtual Challenge

Welcome to the 11th annual Eden's Run 5K! This year's event is virtual due to the pandemic, and you can run from anywhere!

Spirit Week kicks off on November 9. We'll have fun and inspiring things going on all week, including a virtual mimosa happy, virtual "torch-passing" with top runners, and unique ways to learn about our work in Sudan.

This builds up to the big weekend of November 13-15. We'll step out our front doors, run virtual 5Ks, and fundraise on social media together. You choose which day to run, and our collective fundraising will help some of the most vulnerable teachers in the world.

The Cause

Operation Broken Silence is the only nonprofit in the world supporting Sudanese teachers in Yida Refugee Camp.

24 teachers from the oppressed Nuba Mountains of Sudan rely on the funding we provide to the Endure Primary and Renewal High Schools in Yida. 1,300 children walk into their classrooms every day.

60% of the funding these teachers rely on has been wiped out in the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic. When you participate in this year's Eden's Run 5K Virtual Challenge, you are helping to rebuild the funding they need to succeed. Let's run.

After you register, we will send you a short guide that comes with fundraising and running tips. You'll also have the opportunity to connect to other runners online leading up to race weekend! We’ll all be physically apart, but we are still in this together for the teachers.
